I agree. I am not sold on the fact that Holick doesn't see Mirasty as just a side show.
I have been saying it for a while, use him more. There is no fear for dirty tactics on other teams because they can pretty much tell when Mirasty is done for the night.
Every once in a while I'd like to see him yank the helmet off a guy who has been burying our team all night with big hits. Just to send a message. a couple of instigator penalties will be worth it. Make guys look over their shoulder when they play in our barn.
That's what I liked about Yates. He used Mirasty. See the Bridgeport game when Mirasty ran their goalie...in THEIR BULDING after Morency punked our guys all night.
I sit in sec 19, and on Sat night against the Falcons, I watched Mirasty just inside the blue line battling for a puck in a swarm of players. As the battle went on Mirasty tossed one hell of an uppercut. He checked to make sure the ref was outta sight then whacked the guy.
He didn't level the guy, just a touch more than a face wash
Guess who skated away with the puck? Albeit temporarily, he tossed them off their game.
Yeah that's a little dirty, but no real harm done. You can rest assured whoever it was will think twice about going into the boards with Mirasty again.
You're right 94, no one really wants to fight him, if for no reason other than they know they won't hurt him. Doesn't have to be fear, but how many times will you punch a brick wall before realizing you're not accomplishing much.
He could be a great assest if used correctly.
